Accounts Payable Specialist

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Together with your colleagues you form the financial core of Penta Infra. You will make sure our financial data input is accurate and the processing is done in a timely manner. You work in a structured way, you are able to prioritize your tasks and will meet your deadlines. In this role it is very important to be pro active and work with other departments to ensure the Procurement / Purchase process keeps running smoothly. Of course you will be assisted in your development by experienced colleagues.

Some of your daily tasks are:

• Responsible for the accounts payable end-to-end process of multiple entities
• Processing daily accounts payable transactions and ensuring the follow-up of all outstanding items for area of responsibility
• Analyzing accounts payable aging and follow up in a timely manner
• Verifying the accuracy of the purchase orders created by the business
• Dealing with all aspects of purchase ledger invoice process checking, coding, batching, posting to the accounts system
• Responding and solving any inquiries by customers, suppliers or colleagues in a timely and professional manner
• Processing of bank transactions including monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparing supplier payment runs
• Support the Finance team by providing various analyses and reports
• Supporting financial (IT) projects

You will work in a small, sociable and experienced team. Because of the scale-up environment, the lines of communication with other departments are short. As a result, you will interact with many people throughout the organization and beyond. We regularly end the week with a Friday afternoon drink on our roof terrace (when the weather is nice).

WHO ARE YOU?

To get started as a Accounts Payable Specialist at Penta Infra, it is important that you:

• have an Intermediate or Secondary Vocational Education (MBO-4) with a diploma in Business Administration or equivalent of job related and educational experience
• are pro active and have strong communication skills
• have experience and affinity with finance and accounting
• have 3+ years of relevant work experience in a similar position
• are available for a minimum of 32 hours per week
• are fluent in Dutch and English
• are actively involved in your own development
• know when you need help and ask for it
• get energy from improving things
• feel comfortable in an informal work setting
