We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in data center design and project management, particularly in technical design coordination
  • Has strong analytical and organizational skills with a focus on quality control
  • Is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple complex projects and priorities effectively
  • Is proficient in design standards such as UPTIME Tier III, EN50600, and TSI Standards
  • Can effectively lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams
  • Has excellent communication skills and can present complex technical information clearly
  • Is digital-savvy and proficient in design tools like Visio, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Demonstrates a proactive, problem-solving attitude and thrives in a dynamic environment


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As a Design Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the technical excellence of our data center projects. By providing accurate and timely design coordination, you will enable stakeholders to make informed decisions. You will work closely with development managers, engineering teams and external partners to ensure project goals are met within specifications and agreed timelines.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Technical Design Leadership: Leading architectural, electrical, mechanical, and security design phases from concept through delivery
  • Project Coordination: Regular collaboration with Development Team, managing design timelines, scope, and technical quality standards
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring all design work meets required certifications and standards (EN50600, TSI Standard, UPTIME Tier III)
  • Team Management: Leading multidisciplinary design teams including structural engineers, building physics advisors, and installation specialists
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with operations teams, development managers, and external consultants to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Technical Documentation: Overseeing creation of technical drawings, specifications, and commissioning documentation
  • Process Optimization: Developing and refining design processes and quality control procedures
  • Support Activities: Supporting investment team during site acquisitions and providing technical guidance for due diligence

WHO ARE YOU?

To get started as a Design Manager at Penta Infra, you should:

  • have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • have at least 5-10 years of experience in data center, hospital, marine, or other mission-critical installation industries
  • have knowledge of data center design standards and experience with data centers preferred
  • have excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality
  • thrive in an informal, dynamic, and international work environment
  • be motivated to continuously improve and grow professionally
  • be available for 40 hours per week
  • have a work permit for EU and be residing in The Netherlands
  • be willing to travel abroad as needed
  • be proficient in Dutch and English, with German or French as an advantage
