We are looking for someone who:

• Has extensive experience in construction leadership, particularly in data center, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical environments
• Has strong leadership and organizational skills with a focus on project delivery excellence
• Is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple complex construction projects and stakeholder relationships effectively
• Is proficient in construction management methodologies and contractor coordination
• Can effectively bridge the gap between technical execution and business objectives
• Has excellent communication skills and can present complex project information clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Is digital-savvy and proficient in construction management tools and project coordination systems
• Demonstrates a proactive, problem-solving attitude and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As Head of Construction, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our data center construction projects. By providing effective construction leadership and stakeholder management, you will enable teams to deliver world-class facilities. You will work closely with development managers, design managers, and external partners to ensure project goals are met within scope, budget and agreed timelines.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Construction Leadership: Leading all construction, MEP delivery, and installation phases while coordinating with development and design teams
• Project Execution: Managing construction timelines, scope, budgets, and risk management while ensuring predictable delivery schedules
• Quality Management: Overseeing construction quality and building processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications
• Team Coordination: Selecting and managing engineering partners, construction management teams, and contractor relationships
• Stakeholder Management: Working closely with development managers, operations teams, and external consultants throughout the construction lifecycle
• Process Optimization: Developing construction strategies, tender processes, and value engineering initiatives
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating construction risks while maintaining focus on time, cost, and production quality
• Handover Management: Successfully commissioning facilities and ensuring smooth handover to operations teams

ABOUT THE TEAM

You will work in a dynamic, collaborative and experienced development team. Our scale-up environment ensures short communication lines with other departments, providing plenty of opportunities for learning and growth. Regular site visits, training sessions and an introduction program will get you up to speed in the organization and the data center industry.

We also value team spirit and regularly end the week with a Friday afternoon drink on our rooftop terrace (weather permitting).

WHO ARE YOU?

To get started as Head of Construction at Penta Infra, you should:

• have a master's degree in construction management, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering
• have at least 15+ years of experience in leading construction projects in data center, mission-critical, or industrial environments
• have previous experience with data center construction preferred
• have excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality
• thrive in an informal, dynamic, and international work environment
• be motivated to continuously improve and grow professionally
• be available for 40 hours a week
• have a work permit for EU and be residing in The Netherlands
• be willing to travel abroad as needed
• be proficient in construction management tools and project coordination systems
• be fluent in English, with Dutch, German or French as an advantage
• have experience in sustainable construction practices as an advantage
