Location: Amsterdam

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in development project management, particularly in data center, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical environments
• Has strong organizational and leadership skills with a focus on project delivery
• Is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders effectively
• Is proficient in project management methodologies and stakeholder coordination
• Can effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and business objectives
• Has excellent communication skills and can present complex project information clearly
• Is digital-savvy and proficient in project management tools and BIM applications
• Demonstrates a proactive, problem-solving attitude and thrives in a dynamic environment

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As a Development Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our data center projects. By providing effective project coordination and stakeholder management, you will enable teams to deliver world-class facilities. You will work closely with design managers, engineering teams and external partners to ensure project goals are met within scope, budget and agreed timelines. In our rapidly growing environment, you will have many opportunities and responsibilities.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Project Leadership: Leading engineering, procurement, and realization phases with support from design managers and multidisciplinary teams
• Stakeholder Management: Managing internal and external stakeholders, including sales, operations, and contractor teams throughout project lifecycle
• Quality Control: Overseeing technical quality and building processes during realization phase, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Process Management: Managing project timelines, scope, budgets, and risk while maintaining predictable delivery schedules
• Documentation & Permits: Submitting documents and obtaining environmental and building permits while managing approval processes
• Team Coordination: Working closely with design managers to develop optimal technical designs and contracting strategies
• Value Engineering: Starting value engineering initiatives and developing these into decision-making documents
• Handover Management: Successfully commissioning facilities and ensuring smooth handover to operations teams

ABOUT THE TEAM

You will work in a dynamic, collaborative and experienced development team. Our scale-up environment ensures short communication lines with other departments, providing plenty of opportunities for learning and growth. Regular site visits, training sessions and an introduction program will get you up to speed in the organization and the data center industry.

We also value team spirit and regularly end the week with a Friday afternoon drink on our rooftop terrace (weather permitting).

WHO ARE YOU?

To get started as a Development Manager at Penta Infra, you should:

• have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering
• have at least 5-10 years of experience in leading data center development projects, pharmaceutical, hospital, marine or other mission-critical installation industries
• have previous experience with data centers preferred
• have excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality
• thrive in an informal, dynamic, and international work environment
• be motivated to continuously improve and grow professionally
• be available for 40 hours per week
• have a work permit for EU and be residing in The Netherlands
• be willing to travel abroad as needed
• be knowledgeable in MS Office, Visio, and document management systems
• be proficient in English, with Dutch, German or French as an advantage
• have experience in sustainability engineering as an advantage
